Based in Middlesex, this position offers an opportunity to continue your career path in marketing and sales. You will support the efficient and effective delivery of an annual portfolio of conferences and exhibitions for membership organisations. The successful candidate will need to be very marketing orientated with excellent communication skills supported by demonstrable experience on digital platforms. Your strong administrative, organisational, IT and marketing knowledge, along with experience in dealing with people at all levels of management, will demonstrate you can manage a variety of tasks in an accurate and timely manner to meet strict deadlines, set budgets and marketing objectives.
The successful candidate will thrive in a busy sales-focused environment, have proven ability to manage a varied work load and have keen attention to detail. You must have good written and verbal communication skills, be able to demonstrate experience of B2B sales and marketing (both traditional and digital), website management, and use of social media in a business environment. You will be proficient in MS Office, CRM and CMS systems and be comfortable in learning new software packages with the aim of working independently without supervision. More than anything you need to be enthusiastic, conscientious and a reliable team player with a can-do attitude and a hardworking approach.
The hours of work are 37.5 hours per week, from 09.00 am to 5.30 pm with one hour for lunch.
Sales and Marketing Administrator
The Sales and Marketing Administrator will be responsible for delivering all elements of successful campaigns for our clients. This will include responsibility for the planning, creation, execution, reporting and administration of multi-faceted marketing campaigns to achieve pre-defined objectives for the company and our clients. You will be required to produce content for emails, articles and web, alongside the recruitment of sponsors and exhibitors for our client events. An essential part of the role is commercial awareness and negotiation as you will also be responsible for supporting the sales function, selling exhibition and sponsorship packages to established contact lists.
Duties and Responsibilities
You will be expected to undertake the specific responsibilities listed below.
Create, execute and maintain regular marketing plans within budget and adhering to deadlines to proactively improve awareness that converts to sales. Campaigns can consist of emails, social media, PR, direct mail, telemarketing, print items, promotional collateral, events and exhibitions.
Ability to create buyer personas/avatars, identify what product features/benefits are important to each persona and write specific targeted content.
Identifying and placing appropriate advertising and publicity for events
Experience in creating and executing measurable marketing campaigns, including content creation, emails, web updates, social media, direct mail, promotional collateral and print.
A working knowledge of Infusionsoft or similar CRM system is therefore essential.
Experience using marketing automation tools for creating and sending emails, managing databases and building email automations.
A proven ability to manage and demonstrate improved ROI on lead generation campaigns.
Support the Conference Managers in preparing content for sales packs.
Selling sponsorship opportunities and exhibition stands off-plan and at events.
Liaise with confirmed exhibitors and sponsors under the direction of the Conference Managers/Director
Manage all follow-up communication to complete sales.
Proactively manage existing customer data and build prospect databases for CMS and client campaigns, based on target lists.
Use CRM, email marketing tools and segmentation to target relevant campaign audience along with maintaining existing database using campaign reports.
Experience using CMS systems, ideally WordPress, for managing content, creating pages and publishing articles.
Good understanding of SEO and specifically how to create optimised search content.
Knowledge of building landing pages to drive and convert sales.
Producing and maintain regular reports (weekly, monthly and quarterly) to update our clients on progress.
Supporting managers on marketing planning and preparing regular feedback for review meetings.
B2B copywriting and proofreading skills are essential.
Social Media advertising and marketing
Experience with HootSuite, Google Analytics, Facebook Ads, Google Ads, Twitter Ads and LinkedIn Sponsored Content in a B2B environment.
Additional duties as deemed appropriate by the Directors may be allocated from time to time.
